We wish to remind you that with any large event COVID is always a concern. Please do not come if you are feeling sick or have been exposed to COVID.   

We require that all attendees bring a COVID test to camp and have a negative result at the welcome tent. You may not leave the parking lot until you have provided a negative test. This requirement is not optional, and we do not guarantee that you will be able to attend if you do not provide it. If you feel sick during the gathering or have tested positive please inform an organizer from a distance of 6 feet or more with a mask on and if able please leave the event to isolate.

There are many things that need to be done during an event of this nature and this scale, so it will be required for all attendees to pitch in as they are able. We are requesting volunteer service from all attendees so that everyone can eat, play, and have the best possible experience. Some forms of service are on-call work instead.

There will be many ways that you can contribute which are subject to change based on attendance, described below:

• Kitchen Pets (one-meal shift): Assist with preparing one meal shift. 

• Clean Paws (one-meal shift): Clean up after a meal by washing dishes and wiping down food prep and serving areas.

• Welcome Pet (two-hour shift): Greet incoming attendees and provide orientation.

• Fetch Pet (one supply run): Drive to Grants Pass to pick up additional groceries, supplies, or do a dump run.

• Handypaws (one project): Assist with a planned service project on the Land.

• Veterinarians (on-call): Provide first aid as needed.

• Emotional Support Pet (on-call): Provide emotional or crisis support as needed.

• Maintenance Critter (on-call): Assist with maintenance and sanitation as needed.

• The kitchen does its best to keep up with the demand for food, but it’s always smart to bring supplemental snacks and any special items you desire or require.

This area can have warm or cool days and either rainy or dry weather, but we are guaranteed to have cold, cold nights. Please bring:

The kitchen volunteers will be putting together three delicious home-cooked meals each day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to keep you fed and energized so you can keep playing. We will do our best to accommodate people’s various diet needs. Please be sure that you include your needs and restrictions in your registration. We will also provide some light snacks, coffee, tea, and drinks in the barn throughout the day, and we welcome what you might bring to share.

We ask that you keep any food you bring for personal use locked in a car when not being enjoyed, as there are wild animals in the area, including the occasional bear and mountain lion. We will not be allowing private fires or barbecuing (not propane, not charcoal), and we cannot guarantee that there will be refrigeration space available for personal foods.

Please bring a reusable water bottle for hydration. The well water from the taps is drinkable, unless signage indicates otherwise.

This event will be held at the Wolf Creek Radical Faerie Sanctuary, located in Wolf Creek, Oregon. The address will be provided to registrants.

The Sanctuary is only a short drive outside of the town of Wolf Creek. It is approximately…

• a 4 hour drive from Portland, Oregon

• a 6.5 hour drive from Seattle, Washington

• a 6.5 hour drive from San Francisco, California

The nearest airport is Rogue Valley International Airport (MFR). It’s located in Medford, Oregon, which is approximately 1 hour’s drive from the Sanctuary.

When approaching the entrance, keep an eye out for a gate on the left side of the road about 5 miles from the I-5 exit. There will be a marking at the entrance that will be announced to registered attendees.

Gates will be unlocked and open from 8am until midnight. During some of that time on Wednesday and Thursday, welcome pets will be waiting near the entrance at the welcome tent (the covered space near the parking area). If you expect to arrive or leave outside of open gate times it is imperative that you say as much in your registration so we can reach out and accommodate that. If you are running late contact organizers via the telegram chat prior to arriving in the town of Wolf Creek so that you have signal (there is generally no signal past the town).

We expect attendees to be off the land and heading home by 3pm on Sunday.

It is the intention of Portland Pets and Handlers to leave this space better than we found it. Please be prepared to pack out everything you bring. In addition, you may be asked to take a bag of trash off the Land with you, as there is no trash service available on the property.

PDX PAH is partnering with Nomenus, and we will be providing a give back in gratitude for allowing us to use this space for Camp Wolf PAH. There are many altars, memorials, and pagan shrines that we ask you to respect while you are here. If you want to know more, many members of the PDX PAH community who have experience with the Radical Faeries would be happy to provide context and education about the space. Some information will be provided at the welcome tent, and there you can also be directed to those with more. A good rule to abide by is that if you don’t know what something is don’t touch it, don’t take it, and don’t disrespect it.

Nomenus is a 501(c)3 church of Radical Faeries that owns Wolf Creek Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is a place for Radical Faeries and friends to explore and co-create radical Queer spirituality, culture, and community. The Sanctuary serves a diverse regional community of Queer and Queer-affiliated people by hosting gatherings and ceremonies, offering hospitality to visitors, and stewarding the land as a collective resource. Their intention is to explore and celebrate Queer ways of being, to dismantle structures of oppression within and between us, and to co-create a culture based on gratitude, generosity, equity, and love.

The Sanctuary is sustained by a regional community of Nomenus members, working together in a spirit of hospitality, inclusion, and service. They ask respect and reciprocity of all who come here, and hold clear and compassionate boundaries for the well-being and sustainability of our community. Nomenus Wolf Creek Sanctuary is a cauldron for personal and collective healing and transformation. As a living memorial and a conduit for Radical Faerie culture across generations, Nomenus Wolf Creek Sanctuary exists to cultivate the dreams of the ancestors and to nourish the children of the future.

There is an altar to kink on the land that PDX PAH intends to restore during Camp Wolf PAH, and we invite and encourage you to bring anything that you feel would contribute to this if you feel called to do so. Please note that it is an outdoor shrine that will be exposed to the elements.

We acknowledge this is the land of the Takelma, Shasta, Modoc, Cow Creek, and The Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians people. Nomenus is in continued dialogue about what this means and our accountability process as a gathering occupying this land. They strive to be in the best relationship to the Land, those indigenous to it, the spirits there, and the ancestral spirits of these peoples.

There is ample tent camping space on the Land and space for RVs, though there aren’t any RV hookups. A map with common camping spaces can be found here, courtesy of Grace; you can also ask Camp Wolf PAH Welcome Pets to help orient you to adequate camping spaces. There’s also bound to be someone who can help you get set up. After all, puppies know a thing or two about helping each other pitch tents. 

Indoor accommodations are limited and reserved for elders and those with Access Needs that prevent them from tent camping. Again, REGISTERING EARLY is a great help for the organizers on the Camping Committee and also for your own accommodation; the earlier a full list of accommodation needs can be made, the more smoothly coordination of beds will go!

In addition to the limited indoor accommodations, there is ample space for tent camping central to the main features of the Land, typically referred to as “downtown.” This area will be reserved for those who can camp in a tent but have mobility concerns that make it difficult to camp too far from the activities.

• Barn: a large, multipurpose building

  • industrial kitchen

  • some indoor dining space

  • coffee and tea station

  • Love Lounge: an indoor play space with beds

• Fire Pit: the only location where a campfire can be built, if there isn’t a fire ban in place

• Witch’s Tit: a large, outdoor, covered platform for various activities

• Outdoor Solar Showers: hot water during the day (and after sunset while it lasts)

• Flush the Magic Toilet: two flushing toilets

• Composting Outhouses: located around the Land

• Wood-Fired Hot Tubs: outdoor tubs for 2-3 people, available if there isn’t a fire ban in place

• Numerous Hiking Trails: please stay on trails, there is poison oak

• Drag Barn: a give & take clothing exchange for putting on your best look; donations welcome

• Naughty Dog Areas: locations where alcohol, cannabis, and tobacco use is permitted

• Garden House:  the inside of Garden House will remain a sober state of mind space

There are two flushing toilets (Flush the Magic Shitter), but the rest of the toilets on the Land are composting shitters. Instructions for proper use will be available.

As convenient as many of us find shower enema attachments, there is no accommodation for this while on the Land. If you expect that you may want to cleanout, please bring an enema bag, bulb douche, or other handheld cleaning device. Some may find it useful to look online for a battery-powered backflow-proof douche. But also keep in mind that we are all (tops included) well aware of the rustic nature of the environment we are in for this event.

Consent isn’t just sexy…  it's required! Please ask permission before touching anyone’s body or personal belongings (including hugs and casual touch). We love to show our affection for one another, but we must always be certain we have enthusiastic and ongoing consent!

“Pack It In, Pack It Out.” There is no trash or recycling service / pick up on the land. Each camper is expected to pack out individual trash as much as possible, and take a bag of trash and recycling out of Wolf Creek when you leave. Gatherings generate a LOT of trash. Please do your part to help alleviate the amount of waste.

• Bell: If you hear a large church style bell rung this is an indicator that an activity is about to begin. Go check by the bell and someone over there will likely know what’s going on.  

• Air Horn: The air horn is used to alert you to a fire or other major emergency.  If you hear one, please try and find the source of the horn, and if you are able, see how you can help.  

• Conch: If you hear the sound of a conch shell being blown, this means that it is time to gather at the barn for a meal.  Please make your way to the barn at your earliest convenience. It will be blown three times as the preparations of the meal are nearing completion. It will be blown six times when the meal is ready to be consumed.

We do have a small amount of cabin space available for those who need it, as well as some reservable access needs campsites close to the main activity areas, for those that can benefit from them. 

Wheelchair use on the land can be quite treacherous. We will do our best to assist if you use a mobility device, but the geography and infrastructure leave some areas inaccessible.  Many areas we will be gathering at can be accessed by those who require additional mobility support.  If you’d like specific information, please send us an email. 

If you have any access needs (whether related to accommodations or anything else) that you are aware of prior to the event, please let us know in the registration form. We will do our best to accommodate you. If an unexpected access need makes itself known while you are on the Land, please communicate this to the Access Needs Coordinator.

Due to the remote nature of the space, we advise that you share any potential medical concerns in registration; this information can be vital for the first aid volunteers and emergency medical services to provide you aid.

We do not have the space to accommodate personal bio pets. Please make arrangements for your bio pets to be taken care of elsewhere.

Nonhuman service animals, including nonhuman emotional support animals, are welcome with prior notification to the Access Needs Coordinator. The PDX PAH Camping Committee asks that you contact them ahead of time and state on your registration form who your service animals are, so that folks may be aware of them before y’all arrive.

Please consider whether your emotional support animal is capable of handling themselves around other people and animals. If your animal causes undue problems for the event, you will be asked to leave.

Fire danger is always a concern at the Sanctuary. The Land is precious, and we must take extra care to preserve Her in the summer. Smoking is limited to the designated Naughty Dog Areas. 

There is to be no burning of candles, incense, herb bundles, cigarettes, joints, spliffs, bras, panties, or anything else on any paths, meadows, woods, outhouses, and so on and so forth throughout the Land. 

Private fires will not be allowed anywhere on the Land; however we hope to have a campfire each evening in the fire pit. This will depend on whether the Josephine County Fire Department has a fire ban in place.

The Land holds a firm boundary around particular drugs, namely: speed/meth, heroin, cocaine, and GHB (and its derivatives). “Not In You, Not On You, Not In Your Vehicle” is the key phrase. These intoxicants should never make their way over the bridge to the Land. If you are found to have them on the Land, you will be asked to leave. 

We discourage the abuse of any drugs, including alcohol. For those in need of sober space, the building known as Garden House will remain a space where a sober state of mind is required to enter.

Use of tobacco, cannabis, and alcohol will be limited to the designated Naughty Dog Areas:

• Cannabis and tobacco use is allowed at the Dirty Rabbit Hole, the parking lot, and the southern side of the Fire Pit. 

• Alcohol use is allowed at the fire pit, the Dirty Rabbit Hole, and the picnic area in front of the barn.

We will have play parties (some of which may be themed), classes, organized moshes, and other activities. At this time, these are yet to be planned, and we are open to input and suggestions, including volunteers to teach, lead, coordinate, or monitor. Reach out to organizers if you are interested in teaching a class. Information about what classes are happening will be announced at a later date.
